Spring of Prosecco is a series of wine exhibits and festivals scheduled from March through June in the land famed for the production of Prosecco wine.
The area involved, is a strip of land in the north of the Marca Trevigiana, in Veneto, about 50 km north of Venice. (See on the map)

These spring feasts of wine mark the formal presentation to the public of the last vintage wines.
The wines which are celebrated are not only the well-known Prosecco and Cartizze Doc, but also many other jewels of the local oenology like the Refrontolo Passito Doc, Torchiato, Colli di Conegliano and Verdiso. (Source)

DOC wine since 1969, Prosecco is a white, including three types: still, semi-sparkling and fully sparkling.
The dry variety has a pleasantly bitter taste with a light body, is particularly appreciated to accompany seafood, hors d’oeuvres, pastas, and risotti, but can be enjoyed through the entire meal.
The amabile variety is semi-sweet and fruity.
The fully sparkling Prosecco is the ideal for aperitifs and life’s festive days.
The DOC production zone is located in an area between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene including 3500 hectares of vineyards.
The Prosecco of Valdobbiadene Superiore of Cartizze
The Cartizze is a prestigious type of Prosecco, produced in a small area, located in the municipality of Valdobbiadene. This sparkling wine is obtained thanks to a geo-climatic combination and is characterized by a sweet and dense flavour. It can be paired with desserts and pastries but also to salt and spicy dishes.

Among the several cities in the area which can meet your art and history interests, wesrecommend visits to: Valdobbiane, Conegliano, Vittorio Veneto, Asolo, Castelfranco Veneto, and Treviso.
Among the major art cities: Venice is around 50 km south of Conegliano and also Padua is close to this area.
