»» Cesanese Wine Feast in Rome Surrounding
The town of Olevano Romano, 56km from Rome, celebrates its “Cesanese” wine last week of August.

The “Cesanese of Olevano Romano“, is a red wine, with delicate aroma, soft and slightly bitter taste, and ruby red color with tendency to maroon when aged. The varieties include dry still, dry sparkling, and sweet still.
The area where the grapes are grown is the Ciociaria, a pre-Apennine area between Rome and Frosinone characterized by rocky soil and by calcareous clay soil with traces.
