»» International Wine Festival in Merano, Trentino Alto Adige
The city of Merano, Trentino Alto Adige,will host the annual International Wine Festival, from November 11 up to 13.
Located in South Tyrol, extreme North of Italy, close to Austrian border Merano is a spa center. This mountain area, close to Dolomites, is also famous for its prestigious wines.

Despite the altitudes — vine-covered slopes reach 1000 metres, a microclimate that guarantees 300 days of annual sunshine, makes this area a important production zone for full-bodied reds (60 per cent) and fragrant whites (40 per cent).
In this three days festival, wine tasters will able to try local wines from 100 Italian producers and 80 International top producers coming from Argentina, Austria, Chile, Croatia, France, Germany, New Zeland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa and Hungary.
